Debbie Hellenbrand


Patient Advocate | Speaker | Founder of Zebralife4us


Debbie Hellenbrand is an internationally recognized patient advocate, speaker, and
founder of Zebralife4us. Since 2015, she has been dedicated to raising awareness,
building connections, and improving care for people living with chronic conditions, mental
health challenges, and veterans and their families.
Through her work, Debbie builds bridges between patients, healthcare professionals,
policymakers, and society. Her mission is to break stigma, increase understanding, and
ensure no one feels alone in living with a chronic condition.

Speaking & Appearances


Debbie speaks nationally and internationally, including at the World Orphan Drug
Congress, World Congress on Rare Diseases, European Vascular Course, and events of
The Ehlers-Danlos Society. She has presented for Amnesty International, universities, and
healthcare organizations, and served as Master of Ceremonies for Veterans Day.


Her talks combine lived experience, resilience, and practical insight — inspiring
audiences, raising awareness, and creating lasting impact.
